HIRING: Marketing Assistant for Beth Santos

Summary: Travel entrepreneur + community builder seeking inspired, creative, and growth-minded marketing assistant to help launch and manage multiple creative projects and build personal brand.

About the Role: Beth Santos is founder and CEO of Wanderful, a global collective of travel-savvy women. When she’s not running Wanderful, she’s creating other projects related to amplifying women in travel, and challenging the travel industry to be and do better. She is an experienced keynote speaker and industry consultant, and is looking for a fast-paced and energetic Marketing Assistant who can help keep up her super-highway of exciting and inspiring tasks and projects. 

As Marketing Assistant, you’ll be a vital part of Beth’s public-facing brand messaging, working on social media and blog content. You’ll also help with the research, curation and sharing of video and audio content, and help move projects and interviews along. You’ll cover a variety of tasks, from marketing, to social media, PR, research, and some light administrative duties. Plus, you’ll use your creative brain to think of new topics, angles, and ideas and help see them through.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage a social content calendar centered on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. Establish posting schedule for each channel, develop content ideas and draft posts including but not limited to reels, stories, posts, and livestreams. Stay on top of timely publishing to continue to build Beth’s public-facing brand presence.

  • Publish monthly newsletters to Beth’s audience with Flodesk

  • Work with Beth to publish statements and blog content as necessary; stay up to speed on trending and important topics 

  • Light graphic creation on Canva

  • Help coordinate and book interviews for Beth’s podcast series and book

  • Help manage Beth’s calendar, scheduling media interviews, speaking engagements and brand appearances

  • Keep up to speed on various projects including Wanderful (as well as WITS, Wanderfest, the Bessie Awards), Ula Cafe, and other businesses related to Beth’s work

  • Light administrative duties, including help Beth manage her inbox, as necessary

  • Attend weekly meetings with Beth to discuss upcoming strategy and tasks

Skills:

Please apply if you meet at least 60% of the below criteria:

  • Ridiculously excellent copywriter

  • Heavily self-motivated; able to complete entire projects with minimal supervision, and good at “managing up” to keep others aligned and on task

  • Extremely comfortable with social media, including Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn; deep understanding of the nuances of each

  • Good understanding of email marketing

  • Super-speedy researcher; can find just about anything on the Internet

  • Excellent communicator with a personable and professional written and spoken voice; you’ll be representing Beth in front of prospective partners and clients

  • Super organized: Can take all of Beth’s waterfalls of ideas and organize them into concise and tangible steps forward

  • Able to pick up new tech tools and apps with ease

Expectations: 10 hours per week, fully remote
