WEEKS 1-4: CREATE YOUR BLUEPRINT
Why are you here, anyway? In Weeks 1-4 we’ll figure out exactly what it is that’s keeping you (and your potential customers) up at night, and how your business idea can be that medicine that they need.
We’ll launch right into the Business Model Canvas, one of the most powerful tools you’ll get in any B-School program, and start mapping out how you’ll take your new business idea to market. We’ve only got 12 weeks, so let’s get this party started!
WEEKS 5-8: BUILD THE FOUNDATION
Having a compelling problem and an exciting solution is an enormous part of building your business idea, but knowing how to actually run a business is going to be a key difference between success and failure.
In weeks 5-8 we’ll cover some of the key elements of business ownership, from how to figure out your actual budget, to exploring financing options, to legal considerations that you should make NOW. You’ll also hone and practice your “elevator pitch” — because you never know where you’ll be when you need to get someone else on board with your business idea.
WEEKS 9-12: LET’S LAUNCH
Now that you have your business blueprint and a strong foundation, it’s time to step onto the launchpad.
In weeks 9-12, you’ll create your “Minimum Viable Product” (usually in this case that will be your website). You’ll get a crash course on social media and email marketing, and we’ll get you started to not just launch but actually RUN your business with tips on managing life as a business owner and some of our favorite tools to keep you going.
