Frequently Asked Questions
What kinds of businesses do you accept into Prosperity Launchpad?
Any kind of business can join Prosperity Launchpad, but the ones that will get the most out of the experience are lifestyle businesses with a community-oriented approach and are entirely digital or have some sort of digital component. If you’re working on a high-growth startup, you are welcome to join us, but keep in mind that our orientation will be more focused on long-term success (however, we will discuss funding strategies and the tools you create will be extremely useful in the startup world).
Additionally, if your company is based exclusively in physical products and requires additional support in the space of production, merchandising and supplier relationships, you will need to seek that advice elsewhere.
Is this limited to women only?
All genders are welcome to participate in Prosperity Circles. Some of our topics may feature concepts that are more commonly associated with women (underconfidence, for example) but could still be relevant and useful to anyone.
Why do I need to apply?
Because this is a live course, applicants will be invited to join a specific cohort based on their business idea and availability in order to create the most value for everyone.
If I’m accepted, how much time will I have to sign up for the program?
Because this program is highly competitive, you’ll have one week to sign up and make your first payment after notification of acceptance.
Will there be homework?
Absolutely. This isn’t just a DIY series of videos. This is a live, university-level course. You’ll be expected to participate in class, and your assignments will become your business deliverables to help you launch.
What about my time zone? When will these happen?
While I’m based in Boston, my hope is to pick a few different session options that are available to a variety of time zones. This is also part of the reason for an application. In the application there are a number of weekly times that you can select to indicate your availability.
Can I write off this expense on my taxes?
This coaching is intended to make you a better entrepreneur and to grow and thrive in your business. For that reason, many of our my coaching clients elect their participation as a business expense and pay with a company credit or debit card. If you’d like to pay for this personally, you may also consider getting a tax write-off for business expenses (but make sure you talk with a Certified Public Accountant, or CPA, first).
Do I have to be a US business to participate?
No, however some of our advice may be US-centric, especially when it comes to legal questions and, in some cases, accounting and finances. However, I’ll do what I can to make this class useful to anyone who chooses to attend.
